What Tutomate is
Tutomate is a platform that connects students and parents with independent tutors. We are not a party to any tuition arrangement — the teaching relationship, fees, and schedule are agreed directly between you and the tutor.
Credits and unlocks
Tutors spend credits to unlock a student’s contact details; students may optionally spend credits to unlock a tutor’s contact details. Credits are purchased in packs and are non-refundable once an unlock is completed, except where required by law.
Verification
Tutor verification badges (ID verified, background verified) reflect document checks we perform in good faith. They are not a guarantee of teaching quality, and parents should exercise their own judgement before engaging a tutor.
Acceptable use
No harassment, no misuse of contact details obtained through an unlock for purposes other than arranging tuition, and no attempts to circumvent the unlock or consent system. Violations may result in account suspension.
Blocking and reporting
Students may block or report any tutor who has unlocked their contact. Repeated reports trigger a mandatory review of the tutor’s account.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated in-app or via WhatsApp before they take effect.
